Privacy policy

VennMap doesn't know who you are

VennMap privacy policy — IDEINA IO LIMITED, Cambridge, UK. Last updated 30 October 2026.

What we collect

VennMap does not require an account and does not collect personal information. Your settings (work and home postcodes, school and budget filters) are stored only on your device.

What leaves your phone

When you enter a postcode, it is sent to postcodes.io to find its coordinates. Those coordinates are sent to our server, which asks TravelTime to compute the travel area. Our server keeps computed travel areas for up to 90 days, rounded to about 500 m and not associated with you.

If the app crashes, an anonymous crash report (device model, iOS version and the error) is sent to our crash-reporting service, Sentry, so we can fix it. It contains no postcodes or settings.

If you send feedback from inside the app, the message you write and your device model are emailed to us so we can reply.

What we don't do

We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking, and we do not sell or share data. When you open Rightmove or OnTheMarket from the app, their own privacy policies apply.
